Hi Mom. You know I’ve already told you a dozen times what I do for a living. Okay, I will explain again, although it’s amazing to me that you don’t know by now because I’ve essentially been doing this since 1995. You know how you use your web browser to do things like search? Or read your email? Or chat? Well, someone has to design these things. They need to be planned out so that they are both easy to use and visually pleasing. Generally I work with end users, the business and then the programmers who actually build the software. No, I’m not a programmer. You’ve been telling people for all these years that I was a programmer? That might explain why all the recruiters seem to think that. Yes, I suppose I do HTML and CSS but this isn’t really programming. Look, I’ve got to go. I’m in the middle of a pretty big project and we are only partially through with UX. No not “you”… UX as in user experience. Okay, I’m a programmer.
